Dr. Martina Thomas received her doctorate from Texas A&M in 2005.
She joined Family Pet Clinic shortly after graduating. She grew up on a
farm in the Hill Country ejoying the time she spent with her numerous
"pets" including dogs, cats, cows, horses, goats, rabbits and any other
small creature she could find. Becoming a vet has been her life long
career goal and she feels blessed every day to be able to help so many
animals. Her professional interests include surgery and long term pain
management for arthritic animals. The youngest of five children, she
enjoys spending time with her family, working out, spending time in the
outdoors, and being involved in her church. She has three animals at
home, a cat named Eden, an Italian Greyhound named Cairo, and the most
special animal in her life, a mutt called Canaan. Canaan was born with
special needs and requires a lot of love. Working with Canaan has
allowed her many insights into the care of other patients with a wide
variety of medical needs.
